The Opportunity

The Australian Government’s Response to the Disability Royal Commission was one of the most significant publications of its kind.

The publication has over 300 pages of policy and reform commitments with profound implications for millions of Australians with disability. The challenge was twofold: to deliver a publication of this scale with absolute accuracy and sensitivity, and to do so against immovable deadlines, knowing that the document would be closely scrutinised by government, media and the public.

The Solution

Working closely with the Department of Social Services taskforce, we designed a publication that struck the right balance of authority, accessibility and empathy.

Our team managed complex workflows, responding rapidly to evolving content and executive-level feedback, often outside of business hours, to ensure precision and timeliness. Alongside the main report, we produced accessible and Easy Read versions to meet the needs of diverse audiences, ensuring the response could be understood and engaged with by all.

The result was a publication delivered on time and without error — a vital record of government accountability, presented with clarity and care.
