Paper Monkey is an Award winning design studio, recognised in the Rebrand 100 Global awards, along side Nike and Walmart.
Our brand work has been internationally published, including in the recent Rockport publication Logo Lounge Master Library 3, and has been cited as an example of best practice in higher education branding.
For the second time, Paper Monkey was published in this year's OZ Graphics Annual — a showcase of 50 prominent Australian design studios, released by Design Graphics — Australia's leading design publisher.
Visual Strategy
We are more than graphic designers. We are visual strategists.
Before we even consider what things should look like, we execute a process of discovery and strategy, using our proprietary diagnostic methods. We discover the essence of your organisation and make educated strategic recommendations, from which we grow your brand.

Higher education
We execute specialised visual strategy and graphic design processes for higher education. Our client list has included many of Australia's universities, as well as residential colleges, on projects from entire rebrands to ongoing tactical application. Our award winning work has been internationally recognised as best practice in higher education branding.

The environment
As designers, its easy to call ourselves green. We turn out the lights, switch our Macs off at night and have a recycling bin... who doesn’t?
The real difference we can make is in the suppliers we use and the products we specify.
We maintain great relationships with a number of printers around Australia, who use soy based inks and adhere to strict environmental guidelines. Wherever we can, we choose papers with high recycled content or alternative fibre, and can specify sizes that reduce stock wastage.
The community
Paper Monkey supports several local and national humanitarian charities. Recently we undertook the rebranding of Malkara Special School in Canberra on a pro bono basis. In 2010, we awarded the inaugural Paper Monkey Prize
for Excellence in the Creative Arts at Macquarie University.

Paper Monkey. That’s right... you take your car to a grease monkey, so it stands to reason.
Our studio is based in Canberra, yet we work for clients all over Australia — thanks to our friend the internet.
We are a small but diverse design team, offering services from visual branding, typography, and book design to illustration, photography and installation/fitout design.
